Who are we?
We have been until recently a Morris side based in Cardiff, South Wales; we first danced in public in 1973 and were founder members of the Morris Federation.
We celebrated our 40th birthday in 2013, but due to declining numbers decided that 2016 would be our final year of dancing. As founder members of the then Women's Morris Federation we are pleased to have continued our existence long enough to celebrate their 40th Anniversary too!
Dances
Our Llareggub tradition was created by Cardiff Ladies and has solely been danced by us. The name is taken from Dylan Thomas's famous play Under Milk Wood: we don't take ourselves too seriously - read Llareggub backwards! Other dances in our repertoire originated from the Cotswolds and the Welsh Borders.
Why this website?
We're always pleased to hear from 'Old Girls' (and Boys) any memories of the side and to this end we will be digitising the side's scrapbooks and putting some of the pages on display on the site.
